Huddled up on the couch contemplating about life, expectations and dreams. I sit here in a bundle writing this very first blog….. (questioning myself, if what I’m about to start is pointless or not) or whether if I’m just jumping in on the bandwagon to establish a blog.
Anyway back to it…. this moment all started along the lines of watching a romantic movie which showcased the beautiful scenery of Florence, Italy. I was overwhelmed and so inspired to rush out the door, quit my day job, buy a oneway ticket and start exploring the narrow streets that the city had to offer.
However….. Important aspects of my life like
- My partner
- My job
- Bills
- My family
- My pet dog, Bella
All played important parts of why I can’t just spontaneously up and go travel the world. All because Eachof these elements in my life either carry love, dreams, hopes, commitments, duties and expectations to meet and fulfill.
Some of the things in my list are less desiresble than others, such as paying bills and keeping an income coming in, to pay even more bills.
Paying bills sucks!
But being able to help in providing a roof over our heads to support raising future children of our own, to continue to feed our bellies (including Bellas) with nutritious food and being blessed to enjoy the company of loved ones is a gem on its own.
Why would anyone want to leave such comfort?
The answer for me is to explore.
Not to just go sightseeing here, there and everywhere but to embrace another culture, expand my own beliefs, boarded horizons, engage in vast conversations and get lost amongst the planet we call Earth.
